Unique Motion Profile
The GL-6000 is a ground-based, investigational flight simulator. This flight simulator is capable of replicating the unique motion characteristics of Vertical Takeoff and Landing (VTOL), Short Takeoff and Landing (STOL), Short Takeoff and Vertical Landing (STOVL) and Hover.
The flight capabilities of this simulator support the training and research initiatives for multiple aircraft on the market today with a simple change to the high fidelity cockpit and flight profile. These aircraft include, but are not limited to, the MV-22, CV-22, F-35B, and BA609.
- Vertical Takeoff and Landing (VTOL)
- Short Takeoff and Landing (STOL)
- Short Takeoff and Vertical Landing (STOVL)
- Conversion to Forward Flight and Hover
- Hover (In Ground Effect (IGE) and Out of Ground Effect (OGE))
- Capable of conversion from forward flight to a hover
Research Flight Simulator
The GYROLAB GL-6000 research flight simulator provides the ideal simulator to explore the impact of the newest flight profiles, on both equipment and flight personnel. The GYROLAB GL-6000 research flight simulator allows for the expansion of flight test protocol and affords the ability to identify and address in-air concerns before they actually occur in live aircraft flight.
The GYROLAB GL-6000 can support mishap investigation by accurately replicating the conditions of the mishap, thereby helping to prevent their re-occurrence.
