By utilizing the most advanced system design and software technology available, ETC now offers an advanced, high performance, motion-based flight simulator, which can replicate G on Demand air combat maneuvering.
Designed specifically with the challenges that face fast jet pilots in mind, the ETC family of dynamic tactical flight simulators provides an answer to the question of how to increase operational readiness in a safe and cost effective manner.
The Authentic Tactical Fighting Systems product line offers:
- Tactical flight training with a realistic workload and task saturation
- Realistic WFOV visuals contributing to pilot flight scenario immersion
- Reduced coriolis flight artifacts providing diminishing effects with system acclimation
- A cost effective alternative to G on Demand tactical flight training
- High fidelity cockpits, which add to the realism of the training experience
- No resultant simulator sickness by the user typically found in hexapod or non-motion devices
- Interchangeable cockpits for maximum training effectiveness and system usage
- A training environment allowing pilots to push the flight envelope without compromising safety
- High G Flight Training events are typically not flown in (non-motion) Full Mission Simulators. Why is this the case?
(Non-motion) Full Mission Simulators do not provide the physiological stresses that are felt when flying tactical aircraft in high G training events. Physiological stresses are very important to the overall Flight Training experience. For the first time ever, a pilot can experience the physiological stresses in a flight simulator – one that provides realistic sustained G motion. The ATFS-400 Phoenix (Authentic Tactical Fighting System) is the only flight simulator that can provide physiological stresses along with realistic high fidelity visuals and weapons systems.
- Physiological stresses are not experienced in non-motion flight simulators. Only in an Authentic Tactical Fighting System can pilots experience physiological stresses in a flight simulator.
- While training in tactical aircraft, pilots experience physiological stresses as part of airborne Flight Training. To truly benefit from the Flight Training experience, pilots must also experience physiological stresses in flight simulators.
- With less flight hours in tactical aircraft resulting from reduced Operations and Maintenance budgets, pilots will train more in flight simulators more than ever before. But without experiencing physiological stresses in Flight Training, pilots will only experience Part Task Training.
